JAMES (JIM) MOON

Barrister & Solicitor

Prior to receiving his LL.B from the University of New Brunswick, Jim graduated from Trent University with an Honours BA in Canadian Studies and from the University of Waterloo with an MA in History.  He was called to the Bar in 1982.

Jim is an active member of the Guelph community. Over the years, he has been a Big Brother and served on the Board of Directors for Big Sisters of Guelph, Women in Crisis, Canadian Mental Health Association (Wellington-Dufferin), St. Joseph's Hospital, and Kids Can Play. 

He is a Past Chairman of both The Guelph Museums  and the River Run Centre Board of Directors. He has served on the Board of Directors of The Hillside Community Festival of Guelph for over 25 years in a number of capacities and currently acts as the artistic director's liaison to the Board. 

Jim is a sessional lecturer at the University of Guelph teaching a course in real estate law in the Faculty of Marketing and Consumer Studies for over 25 years.

 

Jim is married to Tracey and has two children, Emily and Ryland.
